Another commission: this time for a multi – movement suite for guitar and pipa, co-funded by the City of Geneva and RencontresGuitares – Bulle, Switzerland.
This multi-movement composition will be based on Im Röseligarte, and I will give it’s world premiere together with the brilliant pipa player Lingling Yu.
Im Röseligarte (“In the Rose Garden”) is the largest historical collection of traditional Swiss folk songs, collected and published in the early 20th century by the Swiss philologist and writer Otto von Greyerz.
